Leom is recognized as the first, and indeed the only, poet in the last 500 years, since the time of Shakespeare, to have succeeded in creating sonnets in a truly Shakespearean style. From the 154 sonnets Shakespeare left us as a unique literary treasure, no other poet, celebrated or obscure, has managed to compose works of the same distinctive kind. Now, however, Leom has achieved this rare feat, having written more than two thousand rich and authentic English sonnets.

Among this vast body of work, Leom has also created his own form of sonnet: the Leomnian Sonnet. These poems resemble the Shakespearean sonnet in certain stylistic aspects, yet, in the view of many critics, they surpass it in richness of content, linguistic finesse, structural craft, figurative expression, and philosophical depth.
